Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ)

Temporomandibular joint disorder occurs when there is restricted movement and dysfunction of the temporomandibular joints. This is the joint that connects your jaw to your skull. Symptoms include clicking or popping of the jawbone, pain, headaches, tinnitus, locked jaw, pressure in the ears and discomfort in the shoulders.

Chiropractic treatment for temporomandibular joint dysfunction include stretching of the muscles then removed the jaw, increased range of motion of the joint, relaxation of the jaw muscles and exercises to be done at home. We also perform physical therapy and acupuncture for temporomandibular joint dysfunction.

Bell’s palsy

Bell’s palsy condition in which one side of the face is affected causing it to droop or become stiff. It is due to the muscles becoming weak or paralyzed. It is thought to be caused by inflammation, compression or disorder of the facial nerve.

Chiropractic treatment for Bell’s palsy includes alignment of the spine in the neck reduced nerve interference and structures around the facial nerve. We also utilized physical therapy and acupuncture treatment for Bell’s palsy.
